Rumgr: A Yard Sale For Your Phone

An awesome app that takes the haggle to mobile, for less uncomfortable silences.

This neat app basically makes your Saturdays more productive with less effort, bringing you access to a whole world of items for sale in your area. The hunt for a cheap coffee table made easy, with a photo list organized by how close it is to you. You may accidentally discover a creepy neighbor with a weird doll collection. Maybe this is good for you, maybe you want to break your lease…

It works both ways, you can also run happily through your own garage, taking pictures and posting for sale all the space-hogging things you’ve been longing to be rid of.

Don’t even know what your junk is? Snap the pic, post and go back to watching True Grit. Before you know it the ideal buyer for your item both identifies the monster and makes an offer. More space in your garage for that Batmobile you are building. I have actually sold something myself using Rumgr, it was painless and just a little bit addicting.

The transaction is completed via item comments and in private chats, allowing you to decide where and how the final deal can take place. At this time there is not a feature to actually pay or be paid via your phone but that is something being talked about.

Rumgr is still in beta testing but not for long.

Check out their site:  I know these gentlemen and they are all fairly brilliant. You can enter your email address there for details on the upcoming launch.
