A crazy idea was haunting my dreams in the form of a giant runaway plum. Should I have had that snickers before bed? Probably not, but it did provide me with inspiration for the lovely pop of color that is the layered plum top I chose this morn.

After doing battle with wearing my dark jeans I turned instead to this playful beige skirt from Banana Republic. There are tiers of eyelet lace with dear pinwheel detail that reminds me of a doll’s dress that had been my favorite. And of course the gladiators make their appearance, as Friday is almost always a “flats” kinda day.
